Re: Marathon Training 2016
I ran the London Marathon back in 2010 and my target was sub 4 hrs and I finished it in 4 hrs and 26 seconds.

Those fucking 26 secs have been like a millstone round my neck for the last 5 years. I got a place this year, but had to defer my entry due to injury, so I am gunning for sub 4 hrs this year, albeit 6 years older!

I should of done sub 4, but got carried away with the crowds early on and burnt out between 15-21 miles.

Your plan looks good, swimming is certainly a great form to mix it up as well.

Good luck

Re: Marathon Training 2016
I'm hoping I don't have to run 4 times a week every week as some guides suggest. I don't want the plan to be too rigid either.

My current PB's for the longer distances are:

1/2 Marathon - 1:35:58
10 miles - 1:09:57
10km - 40:59

I've had some injuries in the last few months but I feel like I could improve on those if I tried now.

Probably wise to do some practice over hurdels for the Paris marathon, as you may be needing to jump over a load of bodies!
